Yesterday was the 14th anniversary of the day I married my hubby.
We've been together for almost 19. We met when I was 19, so that means that, in January, I will have been with him longer than I was ever without him.
And you know what? It is a good feeling.
So much has happened in 14 years. Two kids, a mild career shift for me, purchasing a house, lost our two cats (who really were our original babies), and now we are looking ahead to middle/high school and all that will come with those transitions.
Life has been very, very busy here lately. When I say busy, I mean like going to two different directions and not getting home and having dinner until after 7pm busy. We didn't really even get to celebrate yesterday, outside of a hug and kiss and a "Happy Anniversary, we'll try to find time to celebrate this weekend".
We actually did celebrate a little. All three of us watching our Loola play soccer is sort of a testament to the family we have built. A family that supports and cheers each other on. A family that puts each other first. A family that, no matter what, will always be there for each other. That is what the events that took place fourteen years ago have led up to, and what will carry on far beyond today.
So, even though he may or may not see this post, Happy Anniversary Honey. Thank you so much for marrying me.
Now, who is driving to soccer and who is taking Moo to buy indoor shoes?
Have a great day.
